Qualifications:

 

Texas Teaching certificate

Master’s Degree

Mid-Management Certification preferred

Strong data analysis skills

Ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and written

Ability to motivate and encourage students to participate in remediation, intervention, and/or tutorial programs

Technological proficiency with spreadsheets and database systems

Ability to work with and lead adult learners

Willingness to acquire and apply new skills

 

Primary Purpose:

 

Serve as the campus testing facilitator:  assist the Principal and the Office of Research, Assessment & Accountability in providing support to campus personnel regarding state and district assessment and analyze assessment data as it relates to the school and to individual student achievement.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Organize, manage, and assist in the supervision and administration of all state and district testing.
  2. Maintain a thorough knowledge of state laws, regulations, and policies that govern the state assessment program.
  3. Plan and assist with the training of testing monitors at the campus level.
  4. Coordinate and implement building-level testing procedures and protocols for national and state testing, and for local testing as applicable.
  5. Conduct procedural training for all school test examiners and proctors.
  6. Maintain security of testing materials.
  7. Manage processing and distribution of all secured testing materials.
  8. Assist administrators in reporting irregularities.
  9. Serve as a resource to campuses regarding testing questions and concerns about testing procedures, including guidance on guidelines and regulations that govern state testing.
  10. Maintain accurate enrollment records for ordering testing materials for each test administered.
  11. Ensure accurate coding and adherence to required procedures for state testing.
  12. Review and track results for each student related to STAAR EOC/TAKS testing, as applicable.
  13. Coordinate with campus leadership and Instructional Coaches to facilitate data analysis and dialogue.
  14. Review and track quarterly attendance and academic progress of students being served in remediation, intervention and tutorial programs to determine progress and the need for adjustments.
  15. Assist with analyzing assessment data as it relates to the school and to individual student achievement.
  16. Conduct parent, teacher, and student information sessions concerning testing, remediation, and tutorial programs/classes.
  17. Attend, as necessary and appropriate, training sessions and site meetings related to assignment.
  18. Serve as a campus liaison, as appropriate to assigned responsibilities and identified functions, with central administration and with teachers, students, and parents.
  19. Perform other duties as assigned.

Equipment Used:

 

SMART Board, computer, printer, copier, overhead projector, DVD/VCR, other specialized equipment that is particularly unique to the assignment

    

Working Conditions:

 

Position requires frequent lifting and carrying of boxes of supplies, materials, and other equipment.  Work may require frequent travel within the district and across the state. Prolonged standing.  Must be able to handle stressful situations.
